Is a 6' angle blade to much for a BX to handle? mainly for snow / ice removal and light grading. any one use this set up? any Pics?
TIA

Kubota only offers the 54" and 60" for the BX series. You can always mount any think and get it to work but it easier to find the limit the bigger the blade.

P.S. I have a 60" blade on order for my BX 2350

I have a 60 in Land Pride on my BX 22 and it works fine. You just can't drop it in soft dirt and let it dig to China.

I have the same blade on 1 of my BX1500s.

Why are you wanting to put a 72'' blade on a tractor that calls for a 60'' blade?

Because it is the size I have and Im not buying another one.

I have a bale spear on the L3010 and would prefer not having to change impliments. it gets old after awhile. so now that mowing season is over why not let the BX play ? So I was just wondering if for some snow removal (It does not snow much here) and grading the drive if the BX would be Ok.

Hi Guys,

Still have not really heard if this will work. I know it is bigger than recommended, but does anyone have any real world experence? any Pics?

I would venture to say it will work fine, but you will likely not be able to swing it around, unless you make minor mods tothe lift rods, to allow a little more lift on the 3PH.

I use a 6 foot landscape rake on my BX2200 sometimes, simply because I have one, even if it is larger than recommended. I drilled a couple holes in the lift rod bottom forks, as others have done, which gave me a little more lift, and allows me to swing the rake around while still hooked to the 3ph, when I need to do so.

Try that blade on the bx and see what you think. That will give you the true answer for your situation.

How about shortening the blade as an alternative?

I use a 7ft blade behind my BX200 to plow the snow off my almost 1/4 mi. drive, we don't get a lot of deep snow here so the blade works good for me, bought it cheap when Central Tractor was going out of business. I can turn it 360 degrees without hitting anything no mods to the ligt rods.

Powerwise, I think you'll be fine. I have a 60" BB that weighs 400+lbs and I can manage it through roots with 4 teeth an inch and a half into the over 80% clay content of my backyard.

Cheers:D

Well if it turns out to be too much for the bx ya can wack 6" off each end. I just found a cheap used 6' blade (haven't picked it up yet) for my bx23 and that's what I'm gonna do if it is too big.

TSC has a 5' and 6' King Kutter blade or a King Kutter XB 5' rear blade. Has anyone used one of these for snow removal? Do I have to use the XB series on a BX2200? The XB is 10" tall and the other two are 14" tall. I'm still debating either an ATV plow on the loader or a rear blade. Comments and advise are welcome!
