Grading BX2230, bamboo and a front blade?

Hi all. Have a 2230 that I use around our property with a 42" bushhog with good results. However, I do have some bamboo that is along a fenceline that I would like to remove, and am curious about using a front blade to knock the bamboo over. Never looked at the blades, so any tips would be appreciated. The bushhog will knock it over no problem, but I can only do a little at a time backwards.

Spray it with Round Up or some other similar chemical and hope that it dies. From what I have been told, it is harder to get rid of than a pesky mother in law. Hit it with the cutter and then spray the the heck out of it with round up. if yuu have any open canes pour it into them. You wont get it all but you will get a start at it. Good Luck /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Your best bet is treat with a Round-up type herbicide first. Hy-Yield brand Killz-all is round-up at a fraction af the price. Use a quality acididfier/penetrant such as LI-700 and it will absorb immediatelyand work much quicker. Do not cut the canes down but do spray the leaves. Once they start to yellow or brown they are clinically dead and you can cut and/or tractor them out.
Maybe your local nurseries would be interested in buying some clumps. Although it gets a bad rap, bamboo is in high demand and bamboo specialists get $$$ for it.
Even for plain vanilla golden and green bamboo.
