BX24 Replacement of bonnet that covers battery

2006 BX24. I have an older style bonnet that is below the steering wheel and covers the opening where battery is located (black plastic housing with metal screen). The bonnet is held in place with tabs that insert into a frame forward the console that houses steering, instrument cluster, radiator, battery, etc. One of the tabs have broken and looking to replace the bonnet. Ordered new one from Kubota, but upon delivery noticed it does not have the tabs. After talking with Kubota, they stated they are no longer providing the old style bonnet with tabs; they changed the mounting/securing system. Anyone know how I can source the old style bonnet that has tabs?

Try going to Kubota.com, then parts info, type in BX24. When parts list opens click on options, then click on U93800 lower panel plate kit option. This should give you the part numbers you need. K2581-95780 should be the complete kit to replace the bonnet, screen & modified brackets to realign the cover. If you are calling Messicks tell the parts guys that it is listed in whole goods if memory serves. I replaced mine some time back & it is a world of difference in the way it fits.

No problem. What I found with my BX24 was the cover was constantly coming loose & the tabs would not stay in place & as yours broke. The new kit comes with 2 "U" shape brackets that bolts in to place to keep the screen from deforming & 2 floor brackets that lock the cover in place along with a new screw knob at the top.
