BX25 vs XJ2025: ground clearance

I was all set to buy an XJ2025 and then I noticed how far under the backhoe frame hung under the tractor. This looks like it totally negates any ground clearance the XJ2025 has. In fact it looks more likely to get high centered in rough terrain than the BX25.

The BX is a bit smaller machine than the LS. Looks to me a more direct comparison would be a B2601 as far as the size of the tractor. If you compare a backhoe setup on that model, you'll see a similar difference between the LS and the Kubota setup.

Many owners are quite happy with their LS machines, and they represent great value. Many other owners believe there is enough additional product content to justify their Kubota purchase, probably at a higher price point. The engineering to tightly integrate the backhoe design on the Kubota would be probably be an example of that.

Everyone gets to make their own choices and would get a good, hardworking tractor with either choice.

To best evaluate ground clearance for that xj2025 and a kubota bx25 and a massey 1720 . . You should measure the low points on all three on the backhoes when they are not having their extension supports out or fel or hoe buckets raised. As I recall both the kubora and massey advertise their backhoe mount angle at 20 degrees or more . . Again relating to clearance. Backhoes are heavy . . Then add the operstor in the seat besides . . . And bigger units can get "small" when it comes to backhoe clearance.

That frame looks like a real kludge on the LS, and something I'd sure want to know before I purchased! I'd hate to discover that after the fact.

GC1710, BX25D, SC2410, XJ2025, and eMax25... 1025R and Max25 are off the table because of price.

I would think a BX25d would be priced higher than the gc1720 and the gc1710 would be $1200 to 1500 cheaper than the gc1720. Also . . I'm familiar with the sc2400 and the sc2450. What is a sc2410 ??

Typo on the Kioti. I rented the BX last weekend. I'm going to try out the Kioti and Mahindra this weekend. LS is going to bring a demo by next week.

Another ground clearance to check if the height when a mower deck is installed. Its another place the BX is several inches ahead of most everything else.

I agree with this. I was considering moving up a frame size to get more clearance. I was very close to purchasing a B2601, but discovered the ground clearance with the MMM fully raised was about the same as my Massey GC. This is despite the fact that the bare tractor has about twice the ground clearance.

Never had issues with ground clearance on my GC 1720 in the snow, moving dirt, or stumping in heavy clay thus far.
