I noticed our new BX25D seems to let the backhoe leak down if I don't pin it in place. If I leave the tractor overnight the backhoe droops down to about a foot off the ground. Just was wondering if other BX owners are seeing the same thing or if I may have a bad seal. Also if I test the pressure at the loader does anyone know the factory specs (range) by any chance.
THANKS

My BH65 leaks down as well. Like was said, that's why they put pins on the unit.

I have never left the pins out over night so I don't know for sure, but I can tell you that I can't pull them out without pulling the arm back up. The side to side pin no such problem.

Also I have gotten real good at moving that slowly. So what I will do is set the pin in the hole then just move the arm back or side to side depending and let the pin just fall in the hole...there is no pressure on the pins after they fall all the way in...you can move the loader slow and smooth enough to just ease the pins in. I put more stress on the pins moving them the wrong way trying to get them out.

DON'T DO THIS. All around the hole the paint is now chipped....I am going to have to touch that all up now. I think what I will do is put a little bit of rubber vac. line on the little tab that keeps the pin from falling all the way into the hole....that way it will not scratch the paint off.

Deleted a dupe post...but to add.

The out rigger arms do start to sag just a little bit if left for a few days. I think that I read this is common and someone had a pretty inexpensive fix for it.

I think that after I mount my new feet that are MUCH MORE HEAVY they will start to drop more.

I suspect that all hydraulic components would creep down if the engine isn't running. I chain the stablizers together with a short piece of chain on my BX-25 to eliminate the creep factor.

Dont have a BX with a hoe, but it is likely normal as others state.

Leave a load on hydraulics over an extended period and the oil is going to find somewhere to go.

So I just make it a point to put all the hydraulics on the ground when done for the day. IF I dont, my Ford 5500 hoe will be on the ground in about 5 minutes anyway:laughing:

Factory PSI spec is approx 1,785, +/- 50 psi - that is from memory but I know it's very close. I'm going to check my PSI with a gauge very soon, and shim it up if necessary. Also, on the BH drooping, it's normal as long as it drops to the ground over some number of hours, and not minutes. I always drop mine to the ground when the day is done anyway, just to take the pressure off of the cylinders and the weight off of the tractor. I use a bungee cord to keep the stab's from deploying themselves.

Thanks all. I just noticed I can leave the loader bucket about 6" off the ground and it never droops. I also have had no droop in the stabilizers so the hoe drooping sort of got my attention.
I do want to do a pressure test on the system. I had a L3700 and when I checked the pressure it was under factory spec. Once I adjusted it to the upper end of the factory specs it was like a new machine. Im not having any issues with the BX but since the other one was so far off I just want to double check this one. Thanks for the info CHDinCT.
