Loader Bx25d loader won't hold weight of tractor

Hi, I'm new to the forum and have recently purchased a 2013 bx25d with 260 hours, that I'm getting to know. I am bulging a house and plan to put it to work shortly but for now it's in storage while I complete maintenance. Question, I was trying to lift the front wheels off the ground to put jack stands under the axle...the loader lifts the front as it should but will not hold the weight of the tractor. As soon as I let go of the joystick it will lower back to the ground. I'm mechanically inclined but not much experience with hydraulics. Seems to be a problem either with both boom cylinders internally leaking (no external leaks) or control valve leaking. Looking for suggestions to determine proper diagnosis. I'm hoping someone else has seen this. Is there a service manual that can be downloaded for free?

On my TC30, my lift arms can''t lift the front wheels off the ground. But if I do it with the curl, does it easily. You might try that.

lllinifan, The BX25 and BX25D are the same. the D denotes 4 wheel drive as all BX25D's are.
The FEL should lift and hold the front axle for awhile. Could the control arm be going into float when you release it?
260 hrs is just getting broke in.

Thanks for the reply. New to this tractor with fel so I really not sure. Hoping to educate myself with help on how to diagnose by process of elimination without just replacing parts until it's fixed...don't have the funds for that.

Since you bought the tractor used do you know if the Hydro fluid was changed at the 50hr mark? Dirty fluid can cause strange things to happen in the control valve like rapid bleed down an block flow and cause the FEL to respond slow.
Had this problem with my used BX when I started using the FEL for real work.
