Wow! Those LED lights really throw off a lot of light, plus they look factory!

Also, great job on coming up those adapter brackets so you can use the existing mounting tabs on the cab! Very clever!

Thanks. Whenever possible I try and use existing hardware while doing mods on the tractor. The adapters are basically just add ons to what's there so it can all be changed back to OEM if I decide to sell the machine or trade to another color ;)
Really enjoyed your stereo install thread. Great stuff.

Have you increased the capacity of the alternator at all or are you still running the original.
I have this mental picture of you going out to the tractor, switching on all the lights and the tractor turning round and saying to you "I'm doing all this and you want me to move...too" :D :D :D

:D Ha. Thats some picture lol.
No Jim I haven't changed the alternator. I don't run with all lights on all the time. That being said the Canadian 5740's come with a high output alternator as standard equipment due to the rear defog grids and rear lights. I found the biggest draw on the electrical system were the four halogen cab lights. I could have all my top led light bars on with no voltage drop but when I'd turn on the cab lights at idle that's when I see a voltage drop. Now when I turn on the new led cab lights there's no voltage drop and I have a brighter lighting system. I don't know what the OEM lights were in amps but these new ones draw 2.25 amps per light.

Huge difference in the light thrown out by the LEDs, and a great job by you, as always! Hate to hear that you will end the thread though. :-(

Thanks Farmgirl. Ya those led's are a great invention for sure. I guess the thread will stay open as long as someone asks a question or posts some kind of a reply but I won't be posting anymore photos so that part has ended. I have however been starting new threads on other sections of the site so it will be great as always hearing from you. Hope you started getting some rain. We had enough rain here this week to keep Texas going for six months.

Thanks buddy. At least you get to see this stuff first hand. I bet that 30" LED light bar on your bike is crazy bright
