I got a lot of cleanup and landscaping to do with my 3 acres, and I would like a tractor with MMM, FEL and BH. So I have talked with the local (1.5hr) mahindra dealer and the local (45mins) kubota dealer. I was fully expecting the kubota dealer to be more expensive. With the eMax w/BH & FEL costing several thousand more than the BX25D, I am leaning in that direction. This being my first tractor purchase, I am a little confused on how it works. How negotiable are the quotes? Can I comparison shop. I contacted 2 dealers for each of the brands and 1 of the 2 of each got back to me at all.
So I was quoted:
$17,000 BX25D w/12" bucket r4 tires
$251 3pt hitch
$2225 60" mmm
totaling $19,476 w 60month 0% financing (plus taxes)
Is this a fair price? I saw one thread where a poster said they got the exact same setup for $18,500. What should I try for in negotiations, or is some dealers just different prices?
([Nevermind: Also, they are giving me 60 month 0% interest financing. Which is fine, but the kubota sites says they are offering 84month. Is that just limited to my fair (not great) credit?] 4/1 I was looking at an expired deal or a different company all together.)
Lastly, I ready where someone was having their tractor delivered across state lines and didn't have to pay taxes. Is that the case? Anyone have experience with that? Could save me over $1000.
Any input would be appreciated,
thanks,

btw, this forum is awesome, thanks for having me. looking forward to share this journey with my new found tractor brothers and sisters
