Well, I shook hands today on a reasonable deal on a BX25D with option of 3-point hitch and adjustable thumb for the back hoe. They are going to prep it for delivery on Friday afternoon. Although excited, I have been scrutinizing this forum for tips and recommendations which will allow me to make the most of my purchase. Thanks for the nice site!

Thanks. I am sure glad that this forum exists. I have been researching various aspects of tractor ownership and have learned quite a bit before even receiving my first tractor. It arrives tomorrow at 4:45 PM and then I will have a weekend to get familiar with the owners manual. I'm one of those guys that like to read manuals front-to-back and then once more before working with a new tool/machine/etc. I have a long list of projects and look forward to learning how to use the BX25D to help me accomplish my goals.

One tip, a BX2200 may suit you better and I will gladly trade. That's just the kind of guy I am...always looking out for others. :)

Yep, I'm jealous. You're going to love it.

Welcome, and look to the Kubota forum for loads of information and enthusiasm.

Welcome to TBN. You're buying a nice machine. No mower deck I see. So you must mow with something else? And I don't suppose you are a fan of the TV series Vikings, are you, Ragnar Lodbrok, I mean Nevada Ragnar? Anyway, welcome aboard.

Thanks to all of the welcome messages. I have only owned the BX25D now for 4 days and have removed 4 stumps, dug a few holes for new trees, and cleared an area of some boulders which I will use in a rock perimeter. I absolutely love this machine and can now accomplish great tasks without putting my back and health at risk.

As for my nickname, "Ragnar" ... it was the name given to me by my friend and bow hunting friend. I am of Norwegian heritage, so I warmed to the name. I am also a fan of the TV series Vikings, although the nickname was given to me long before Ragnar Lodbrok became known on TV.

Thank you everyone for your kind reception.
