The LA513 loader on my L3130 is underpowered for my needs. I found a LA723 loader without the tractor side frame. Will the LA723 work with the existing LA513 frame? If not, is there a newer version of the LA723 that will work with our 3130? Best regards.

Shim your hydraulics and I have seen videos of people upgrading the cylinders for more lift strength.

I picked up a shim kit a few years ago and forgot about it until your post. I'll find it and test it tomorrow.

Front axle bearings are as often as not the weak point on these machines. Heavier loads will eat them up much faster.

I've had 2 leaky front axles in 1,200 hours on my L4060. They ended up replacing bearings both times as they were a little rough & it's cheap/easy to replace when you have the axle apart for the seals already. Could be my dealer doing a poor job, but I hear of a lot of other Kubota in the same boat.

Personally I'm not going to be pushing for maximum bucket fulls going forward to go a bit easier on my axle.

Front axles on Kubota tractors are an inherently weak design. The outboards should really be radial contact roller bearings and not ball bearings. I've not had serious issues with mine but I have changed the kingpin insert bearings at least once now as well as the seals. In fact, I keep a spare set of inserts and seals on hand, just in case and I keep the fluid in the front axles changed frequently and I use 85-140 Gear oil and not SUDT. I own 2 basically identical M9000's and they are both subject to heavy loading of the front axles.

I was able to increase the relief valve pressure a 140 psi, which made a small difference.

On average, the loader and front end are not worked too hard, but there are times when we need maximum performance.

I agree about the front bearings; I always keep a spare set on hand.

The LA723 was an option for the L3130 and offers an additional 500 lbs of lifting capacity, as well as a 10-degree increase in bucket rollback.

The seller's asking price for the loader frame, side frame, and bucket is $1,600 and appear to be in good condition based on the photos.

Kubota charges $1,800 per side for the main frames.

I believe our local welding shop can likely do it for a fraction of that price. I’ll find out tomorrow when I give them a call.
