Pictured is former Alaska First Lady Bella Hammond checking the oil on one of the generators at their cabin/homestead on Lake Clark, Alaska. This homestead is in the registry of Historic Places.
I've been reading Dick Proenneke's journals, and in 1978, then governor Jay Hammond picked him up in a float plane to have him change the head gasket on one of their Lister generators. Dick was a famous cabin builder/naturalist/equipment mechanic who retired to Twin Lakes Alaska, there are several videos and books in his name.
This generator doesn't look like a Lister to me, can anyone confirm what it is? Looks like there is a spare for maintenance/redundancy barely visible on the right side of the photo. I say they are one cylinder because I only see one injector line and valve cover.
