I very badly need to purchase a product sometimes sold by Texaco, and sometimes sold by Chevron, as "Compound L." It's a product I have bought over the years in a 5 gallon steel can, and more recently in a 5 gallon plastic can. Sometimes it's listed under "marine lubricants" but I've never used it or heard of it used as other than an undercoating to fight/prevent rust. From time to time someone has said it is also sold as Chemtool MPT - L, but I haven't become convinced it's the same chemical (and it is also difficult to find, apparently). I have seen it sold in 28 gallon cans. I cannot now find any even though I am accustomed to searching far and wide on the internet. I live outside of a city of 30,000 that cannot be reached by road; everything comes by barge or jet aircraft. As it happens I bought about 500 gallons of fuel from the local Chevron distributor just the other day but they are unable to help, and it's fair to say we are in an age when vendors that take the time to be helpful are not especially plentiful. I began using this product, Texaco back then, 50 years ago, and while I have always looked at results from using competing products and methodologies I haven't found anything comparable. If anyone has a line on this product I would be very grateful. Thank you.

Thanks, Looks like these two companies are in Belgium and Scotland, respectively. I have a distributor in White Horse, YT looking to find some. Even as it is I sometimes have stuff held up forever (literally, forever) in customs having stuff shipped from Canada, but doing so looks less difficult than Belgium and Scotland would be.

Thanks. I will call these people and ask if it is the same product. I've used the Compound L about ten times over the decades. It has to be heated on a camp stove or similar in order to spray, and that is different from the description of this product.
