- 2 Kubotas; One at business, one at home,(both for PLAYing) L3830 HST w/ 723FEL and BX23
Can\'t wait - Kubota L3430 w/ Cab almost mine
I must be nuts, or atleast my wife is starting to think so. Tonight I told her I had a dream last night about the new Kubota coming. After she looked at me funny I quickly replied that she was driving the Kubota and asked me if I wanted a ride. Well, I tried my best but she is a good sport anyway and just laughed.
It all started about 4-5 months ago when I first discovered this wonderful website and learned so much from all of you. The new Kubota 3430 w/ factory cab is at the dealer and should be delivered in the next 2-3 days. I ordered over 3-1/2 months ago and I am just dying for it to get here. I keep reading other posts about TBNers who have sat on one or just purchased one - makes me very jealous!! I have been frequently going to Kubota's website and drooling on my keyboard as I look over all the features and highlights.
I looked very seriously at a NH TC33D & TC35D - nice looking machines, especially the TC35D(sharpest tractor around IMHO with the curved boom on the loader and all). But I was definitely sold on Kubotas Grand Cab and my previous experience with the other two Botas were good ones.
This site, and all of you TBNers have been extremely helpful and I have learned much in a very short period of time. I plan to learn how to post pictures so I can share them with all of you and to make the smiley faces too. Of the many things that I have learned, the most important was to buy from a dealer who you like and trust the most(not necessarily the brand nor the price). Also that the proximty of the dealer was not that important. Old dealer who I bought a new B2410 from 5 years ago and then traded up to an almost new B2710 2 years ago just wasn't giving me the best of service and didn't seem very motivated or happy to see me. His dealership was only 15 minutes from my house and is the only Kubota dealer within 30 miles from me, maybe that's part of the problem They sell John Deere and Kubota tractors and seemed to treat me as if they were doing me a favor. I made a few phone calls and looked at other tractor brands at other local dealerships. A friend of my brothers really liked his dealer in SW Wisconsin so I called his dealer up and the next day he drove 1-1/2 hours round trip to give me an estimate on trade for mine. The day after that he called me with his offer and it sounded great. He drove down to my business to discuss all of the details and we shook hands and I signed the deal - with a man I have never met before in my life in a nearby city that I have never set foot in before on a tractor that was not yet being manufactured. Go figure! He was super about the whole deal so I decided to pay him a visit the following week and scope out his dealership. It was a fantastic place. Clean, well stocked and friendly people to deal with. They do free pick-up and delivery service during the warranty period. They offered me $1500 more in trade and $1200 off the tractor. Total savings = $2700 than local dealer but the strong selling point was definitely the dealer. Whoa, guess I got a little winded. Thanks for your help and for listening/reading. I'll keep you posted.
