If you use the closest comparable models the Century should be less for significantly more machine. How much will depend on where you are located and the dealers involved. What does everyone else think?

Kind of hard to come up with an answer not knowing which units he's looking at.

At the time I bought my 3045 with c-50fel it was from $4000 to $7000 difference from the green, orange, and blue when you added up what was standard on the Century and was optional on the others. Such things as duel remotes, light, draft control, quick attach on fel, front guard, loaded tires, r-4s. Plus it was a heavier machine and the fel is not going to spilt the bellhousing as it has a heavy frame running the lenght of the tractor. Best thing I can say is go compare them and when you look at them real hard I'm sure you will come to the same conclusion I did.

How does it compare price wise?

You will be shocked, like leaddog stated the difference in price will have you scratching your head asking why the Kubota is so much more?

Go look at both and bring home the brochures and compare all the stats. Some people are willing to pay extra just for name recognition and that is great but I was wanting to take that $6000 and apply it to the new home we are building this fall.

As you will find on all the boards color loyalty runs strong in the discussion groups and it goes the same here in the Century/Branson/Zetor group. Dollar for dollar I feel the Century will be very hard to beat.

When I compared the two, the difference was about $4,000 for a 35hp tractor. I think the Kubota was a nicer machine, more features, better support, but not $4,000 better.

I shopped around for months, reading, driving, testing etc.
I decided on the new Century 3647 (47 hp with the new cummins engine).
My opinion is that the ease of use, features, power, WEIGHT,
looks, and PRICE make this machine hard to beat.
I really compared spec to spec and found it to be as good or superior in every category except name recognition, and I'm sorry, but I don't drive the name.
I have excellent representation only 8 miles from my land, and service should be easy.
I've been using it for 3 months now, pulling a 5 foot bushhog and 6 foot box blade, and it drives like a lexus.

I as well shopped around quite a bit and was really sold on the branson until I went and dealed with the Kubota people. I had a price of $17,500 on a branson 4520 and I got a price of $19,600 for a Kubota 4330. They are both great built machines and both were priced with q/a and r4's. I ended up going with the kubota because I felt that when I want to sell the tractor some day that it will sell much faster and I can easily recoup by $2100 increase for the orange paint.

Glad to here you are happy with your new Kubota. The 4020 Branson or the 3040 Century would have been the comparable tractor they are all 36 PTO HP (not the 4520), so you could have saved even more. As for resale yes you would most likely get less for the Branson/Century but you would have paid less for it up front and could have used the savings to buy some implements. Did you get the shuttle, the glide shift or the hydro? Good luck with your new tractor.
