I have a IH 3414 loader backhoe that is in need of check valves. They are a nylon ball or tri point ball about 1/2 inch diameter. I tried many souces to find these but I havent been able to find a source for them. Does anyone know where I can get them?????????????? Paul

I have a 3414 also and have been able to find some parts at Case dealers who used to be old International dealers. I also understand that Kumatsu (sp?) bought the construction equipment side of International when Case bought the Farm equipment side. I have checked into a local dealer who sells parts from Kumatsu but was put off by the sticker shock. The same parts at the previously mentioned Case dealer were less than half as much.

How much do you use your machine? I can run my hoe and dig for about 3 hours in warm weather, 80F, befroe the hydraulic fluid overheats. Im not sure if this is normal for this machine or maybe I have another problem, wrong fluid perhaps, Im using ISO 32. Paul

I only use it intermittently. I leak fluid some so I've never overheated the Hydralic fluid. I use what ever fluid Napa sells

You might try Komatsu Construction Equipment dealers. It is my understanding that they bought the construction equipment side of IH. Another possibility is to check a Mihindra tractor dealer. They started their line based on the british build motor and transmissions, which is what the 3414 has in it. They might have the right parts but it would take an understanding parts guy to help you out. Another possibility is to find a Case dealer whom used to be an International dealer. I have one in Glasgow Ky who still has old parts microfiche and helps me out. The parts guy says he enjoys the old dinosours.

Paul I was not sure which dealer either /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif That was why I was asking you if you had any luck, so if I get into a similiar situation. Thinking of buying an old backhoe, works ok and can get it as cheap as a 3 point backhoe attachment for my tractor.
