CK25 Why is it not available anymore?

Sorry to invade but I was sold a Bobcat CT225 with the Tier 2 25hp motor. Is there a reason why Kioti/Daedong did away with 25hp?

How long was the CK25 maufactured? Was it under powered? Will parts availabilty be an issue 10 years from know?

The CK25 was replaced by the CK27, I believe the only difference was the new 27hp engine is Tier 4 EPA compliant. If you have the CT225, you also have the 27hp engine.

I doubled checked and confirmed with dealer that is was a 25hp. The motor plate says TD1300LXE 1299cc. I guess shortly after Bobcat starting selling compact tractors, they changed to the 27hp. Looks like I got an eary model.

This motor appears to be the exact same in the Kioti CK25. I was hoping on some good feed back from Kioti owners since this appears to be a rare find for Bobcat owners.

Parts shouldn't be a problem since, other than the engine, just about everything else is common with CK27/30/35 machines. I read on here that the reason for going to the CK27 was strictly driven by new emissions requirements, not because of performance or reliability. I like mine. Plenty of power for what I do.

Do you know how long the 25hp has been around. I understand the tractors are pretty much the same but parts for the motor worries me a little. I'm hoping on passing this on to my son down the road.

Not sure, really. At least from 2005 through 2007.

All the manufacturers had some model blips at the changeover. Nothing to worry about, I'd prefer the earlier model as there are less emissions components to go wrong such as egr.

Seriously, they put EGR on a Kioti? This is getting ridiculous. Is there a DPF on there too?

You might be lucky to have gotten the older 25HP engine.

I'm not sure if Kioti did or not but Kubota did to meet the NOx emissions. Its probably the simplest way to do it so I assume Kioti did too. No dpf on tractors yet.

Hi,
Kioti has had a 25HP tractor since they came to the US in the mid to late 80s. I'm sure it was some version of the present engine maybe evolved a little.
I'm sure you will not have any problems with parts availability as Kioti most likely uses the 25 in other applications around the world. Just a guess, but I would think you will be safe for a long time.
