As far as I know the only penalty is to ask you to leave.
As the LEO instructor here stated "the objective is concealed" don't ask, don't tell.
I agree......I teach as well. Just keep it concealed.

Depends on the state, and I suppose, any local laws that are in place. One could simply be asked to leave or get arrested. HOW, they would know is problematic but if one pulled up a shirt just enough to show a weapon or if the weapon "printed" through, an alert employee might notice and call the POlice.

NONE,wish our state had done it sooner.Curious to hear if anyone might want to share any regrets they have or had regarding carrying a concealed weapon.
Simple answer......buy longer shirts! Kidding aside.......concealed means concealed.......I have jackets that nobody would ever know I had a firearm......the only way someone would know is if I told them or showed them.
Nothing personally, but I've known a couple who found that when the stuff hit the fan, they were unable to react so they quit carrying. My son often had people ether walk out of his classes on the first day during classroom portion or as late as range day.
What is the penalty if caught with a firearm in one of these businesses? Unless you're going through a detector......how would they know if your firearm is concealed??
My wife and I have had this conversation several times. She says she doesn't think she can pull the trigger. I say then don't carry. All you are gonna do is "muddy" the waters in a critical situation. Not condemning. Just saying. Answer that question within yourself before carrying please.
In Tn. the signs carry the full force of the law which is a misdemeanor if you are caught carrying with a proper sign posted, not sure if you are subject to lose your HCP.If there is no sign you can still be asked to leave. If you do not leave you can be charged with criminal trespass.
