Very close to Mt. Mitchell on the Blue Ridge parkway. As close as I live (40min or so) it's a shame I don't go more often.

Thumb in the corner, but I go over this pass every day to work. Some mornings I get to see this lake of fog down in the
valleys. Phone cam doesn't do it justice.

Not a good pic but for those who don't live in mountains as air hits and goes over it compresses and forms clouds. This is Celo Knob just next to Mt. Mitchell.

Wife & I hiked to the top a few years ago.
Is the restaurant still there down below trail?
I remember menu said "it's so good it makes you wish your goozle was as long as a fence rail".

Yeah it's still there. I've never been in though. Figured it was a tourist trap and food wasn't much.
