When towing a turbocharged tractor it is common practice to tape an upright exhaust stack shut to avoid having the wind blow in the exhaust and spin the turbo bearing without oil and burn it up. Newer compact tractors have the exhaust exit under the edge of the hood where the wind might not affect it. Anyone know if you have to cover the exhaust pipe when towing this type of tractor--specifically the Kubota MX5100 that I just got? The exhaust exits up front by the power steering at the bottom of the hood. Anyone tow an MX5100 or other turbo?
