Cranking Problem with John Deere 4400

I have a JD 4400 that normally cranks/fires at the touch oh of the key. Lately it will fire one day but not the next. It always turns over but not always cranks. I can hear the fuel selenoid click when the key is turned on. All help will be appreciated.

Are you sure the fuel solenoid is what you are hearing? I have had a similar situation with my 110tlb this week and found the fuel relay (K6) was at fault. It would click but not pass voltage to the fuel solenoid. I am picking up a new relay in the morning.

When it turns cold that thermister seems to get touchy. Could also be the fuel that has leaked past it stopping complete movement.
IF my 4300 turns over, it is normally running after two seconds. When it doesn't start it has always been the solenoid only getting its run voltage instead of its pull-in voltage. I just manually ground the white wire when I crank it....the next start of the day will be fine.
