The only strange creature we have in our MAINE woods is my mother in law,with her hair in curlers .and her teeth out! [sorry mom] It was just some sort of cross breed dog,just something for the media to have a hissy about.Sort of like the major snowstorms they report[when they are planning on 6 inchs!]that might leave you snowbound.Probably the neighbors sheepdog had a goodtime with a coydog or something.

Yeah, we had the same thing here awhile back with a mangy sick coyote. Just another good reason to be armed and ready at all times.

SIGARMS said it right. It is just a dog. Not even that strange looking. I have adopted one uglier than that. We call him Fugly. He is a real ball getter and he even chases cats. I think those folks in Maine must brew the beer themselves????

Last year we had a Puma in the Netherlands. the news blew it up and some photos were published. In the end it appeared to be an oversized, long black haired cat, like the ones that live in my neighbors forest... I used to work with a guy, he told me his cat was so fat, it weighed 16 kg. Some overfed cats, the long haired ones in praticular, because they look more massive, can sometimes become subject of an urban legend.
About ugly creatures, my father has a relation in the horse breeding business. The wife has Jack Russels (as is an appropriate must for all horse people it seems..??) and the man himself liked a Dobermann better... Somehow these two managed to mate. The result was the most ugliest sort of dog you've ever seen, but he had no problem of selling them, it seems people kinda liked to show off to their neighbors with an odd creature that nobody has ever seen ! ???

I meant the mans Dobermann and his wifes Jack Russell... the man and wife have kids so they mated as well, but i dont think thats so suprisingly as the dobermann and Jack russell

So how many of you guys saw the "chupacabra" that was shot this summer in Texas or wherever it was and saw a coyote with mange? Busted out laughing while standing in a Rahway N.J. pizza parlor a few weeks ago watching a "mysterious beasts" show and seeing the pictures of it come up. Idiots.
