Howdy I just got a tractor that has a cross 2 lever control valve with pb. It has both return and pb going to hyd adapter block. Is that right ? The loader is slow and jerky plus my 3 point dont operate properly. Would anyone have any thoughts and possibly a drawing of where these hoses go. It just dont seem right the way it is plumbed. Thanks in advance

Does the valve have a hose from the pump going to the IN port of the loader valve?

Check your fluid levels.

Check filters and screens if you have them.

In the adapter block are these two lines connected or seperate? If thye are common this will not work properly.

Connections on the cross valve should be:
Inlet on valve connected to pressure port of pump.
Power beyond port connected to the inlet of the three point hitch
return or tank connected to your reservoir.

On some hyd blocks there is a return line from the hyd block to the side of the tractor and to tank.

The hyd block will also feed the 3pt.

They are all 3 separate. The hyd block should allow the 3 point to operate shouldnt it? Wouldnt the pb be used for adding on? I had another identical tractor that only had 2 hoses coming off hyd block and it operated fine. The control valve was a different brand though

The tractor originally had 3pt only, and the relief was on the 3pt.

My relief is located on the hyd block.

Some have a cover plate so additional adapters can be added.

Some just remove plugs and screw in the proper fittings.

The hyd block is there to provide add on to the hyd system.

If you don't have the hyd block, it is just as simple to plumb from the loader valve with PB to the back for remotes.

If PB and tank return are both dumping to same circuit should not have any affect on the loader, it would on 3 pt. If fluid was not needed after the FEL valve these would dump to common retrun anyway. With jerky FEL and 3pt, I think you have something else wrong not necessarily and plumbing (routing) problem.

After you check the screen, check the pump intake hose for sucking air. The plumbing is like one of my tractors, should be ok.

Would it be ok to plug pb at valve and hyd block to see if 3 point works?
