CT225hst Confusion (25HP)

Purchased tractor May of 2009. I have 250hrs on tractor, I have never replaced the trans/hydra fluid because my manual says not to till 400hrs. However it does say at the 50hr to replace hydra and hydro filters, which I did. It also says to replace filters again 200hrs from from the 50hr, but still not the fluid.

Ive read several post where some have and some have not, I even seen PDF's of maintenacne schedules where it shows to replace fluid at 50hrs. Today I spoke with a dealer, they say they dont change the fluid either at the 50hr. I swear, both my owner and service manuals do not call for it untill 400hrs. What and the **** should I do? lol

Attached is the service schedule form the Ct225 Operator Manual. It does specify changing hyd/transmission & differential fluids at 1st 50 hrs. Your manual must have a misprint in it.
I recommend you change the fluid with the filters now at the 250 hr. mark then follow the timeline going forward. Hydraulic filters again at 450 hrs. then fluid an filters at 650 hrs. etc.

I'd change it and quick. I did the 50 hr on mine and there was a fair amount of very fine metal attached to the magnets. You want to get that break in fluid out of there. Also, my Kioti had ATF in the front axle, which is fine for break in, but too light for regular use. Manual says 90 weight gear oil.

I just find it hard to believe that both owner and service manuals are incorrect. But Im going to change it. Is there any other oil i can use other than the gold flake Bobcat brand.
