ok everyone I am in need of some help here. I just got this tractor and was hoping to get it up and running and use around the property.
it is a 1996 cub cadet 7274 with loader. it was running and was parked outside 2 years ago. I had the starter rebuilt and installed it , then tried to start it , it would not turn over and the wires on the fuel solenoid melted. So I pulled the starter and the fuel solenoid and used a pry bar to turn engine over on the fly wheel. it was hard at first but got easier. I then installed the starter and new battery. it would turn over on its own but only for short bursts. so I drained the fuel tank and pulled the glow plugs and poured diesel fuel in hole. I then used a socket on the camshaft pully to turn eng over. it was pretty easy but then it started getting harder, then it would not move at all. so I pulled the injectors and still wont turn over. Could a fuel pump or hyd pump cause the eng to not turn over ?
Any help would be great!
