Cub Cadet 8404 or Branson 4220

I had a deal on a new 2004 8404 cadet with woods loader & r4 tires for $15,600.. dealer already sold it but said he could get me another one.. Today I called a dealer for Branson and was quoted the same price for a 2005 4220 with b20 loader and ag tires.. Both have shuttle shift 8/8 on Cub and 12/12 on Branson.. Both dealers are a drive for me, but thats not a concern... Will the 4220 out work the 8404.. I will be using in Ga clay with some slight hills.. what are your thoughts.. Cub is a 2004 and Branson is a 2005..

I don't know a lot about the Cub, but I do know that the 4220 Branson is a workhorse of a tractor with a 3 yr warranty, very, very good performance record, very few problems at all with this tractor. The new number 4220 would indicate that it has the equivalent of the "A" series Cummins in it, which is manufactured by Kukje, the parent company of Branson to begin with, for Cummins out of Indiana.
