What do you guys think about the Cub Cadet 50 in 24 HP B&G w/14 gauge chasis for $3000, or the BobCat fastcat 52 in, 19 HP Kawasaki, w/ 7guage chasis for $4700. I have 2 acres flat very few trees, but am a single dad and cannot spend more than an hour or so on the mower, and don't want to be running back and forth to the repair shop.

Welcome to TBN!

If I were you I'd go with the Bobcat. I've checked out Bobcat mowers before and they are truly tough mowers. If you don't want to have the machine in the shop all the time, the Bobcat is the way to go. 7 gauge chassis is extremely tough, plus the mower deck is also 7 gauge where as the Cub is porbably around 12-13 gauge. The lower the gauge the thicker the steel. And Bobcats are faster with a Free Floating mower.

Hope this helps.

I meant CC B&S
Another thing, the Bobcat has a Kawasaki engine, which is actually better than B&S.
If you have a rough yard I'd suggest Simplicity full suspension zero turns. They are around the same price as a Bobcat.
Also check out the Dixie Chopper Sliver Eagle. Dixie Chopper is one of the best Zero Turns on the market. I work for my Father in Landscaping and we run a 2000 Dixie Chopper Commercial model and a 1997 Toro 724Z (which is actually made by Dixie Chopper for Toro Wheelhorse) I hope this again helps you out!
