Wonder if RK has a 25hp cut in their future? Looks like now they jump from a scut to the 37hp? Nothing in between.

So you're looking for something larger than the RK24 but smaller than the RK37? Or something the size of the 37 with only 25 hp? Not sure I understand.

Just wondering if in the future they might make a 25hp in a frame larger than their Scut. That痴 all.

Well, I don't know, but it seems to me that a larger frame would make it very close to the size of the RK37. And there doesn't seem much sense (or a need) to have a 25hp instead of the 37hp. If you're going for a larger frame why not have the extra HP? Just my 2 cents.

The biggest reason is by staying at 25hp the emissions requirements are avoided.

Okay. So next question is, what's the advantage of having a larger frame tractor at the same hp? The RK24 is a pretty stout machine from what I've heard. Does it allow for different implements that the smaller frame can't handle?

Just wondering if they may build a tractor smiliar to a ls3025 or kioti ck2510. Something along that frame size. Or a yanmar sa424.

Good question and good comments and follow up questions. We don’t have plans for a larger frame 25 at this time. It’s not that we don’t believe there is a market, but a big part of the reason for some other brands offering is to have a another price point at that range. The frame and weight are bigger, but our 24 SCUT is a stout, heavy SCUT. And with our 37hp with loader only costing $19.9k with loader and filled rears, our 37 is priced just a little higher than our competitor’s 25 large frame. We think most customers that don’t see the RK24 as being quite what they need will find our 37 an alternative to a larger frame 25, more power at about the same price. Hope that helps.

It would allow you to use implements that the smaller frame can't handle. You should be able to run a 60" rotary cutter verses the 48" you would use with the smaller frame. It doesn't seem that manufacturers offering those 25 horse CUTs downrate the loader for that engine, so you get compact class loader capability. The downside is that you are asking that 25 horse engine to do that work while dragging an extra 1500 lbs or so around (quite a bit more if you add the loader). You can probably run that 60" cutter with it on flat ground, but it is going to be severely tasked if it is asked to do that while climbing a steep hill. A friend has a similar tractor that he runs a 60" finish mower on and while it handles grounds maintenance well enough I can't imagine that it would be that happy dragging a plow. With the pricing of the RK, LS or Kioti I'm not sure why anyone would go for the smaller engine. You save about $1500, but you also give up an awful lot of grunt.
