My 2620 does the same thing. I rarely use the dash lights as the headlight system leaves a bit to be desired. I instead rely on the two led lights I have mounted on the rops to look at the gauges. I agree that Kubota should have designed a better system for the dash lights.
I have no cab and just a work light the dealer installed on the ROPS (facing back). I noticed this when blowing snow in the evening as I work all day. I always have lots of fuel and the RPM will max out but it is the temp that I want to keep a eye on.
Would like it better and thought this was the best place to ask.
Interesting point....My B2650 gets used frequently in the dark but I always use the Cab mounted work lights front and back and never switch the tractor lights at the front of the hood on so don'tknow what my dash looks like at night. I use it for snowblowing and the tractor lights reflect off the snow blower (front mounted) particularly when the snow builds up and causes glare. Next time I'll switch on the lights just to see what the dash looks like at night..It's a digital display...no analog gauges.
The 2650 gauge cluster is back lit and digital so it's easy to read all the time, day or night. It's lit whether the headlights are on or not. I have no complaints on the gauges. I use my tractor a fair amount in the dark in the winter moving snow, as I leave for work in the morning while it's dark, and don't get home until after dark.
