I was on my way out to my farm this past week and I knew I needed a spindle housing for my Husvarna mower. I had to drive past Tractor Supply and Lowes on the way. So I stopped at both places to get the part. Neither had it.
The guy at Lowes told my I'd have to go to a dealer if I wanted more than filters of belts.

I pointed to the lineup of mowers he had and I asked why they had so many new mowers if they were not a dealer. He just looked at me with this stupid look on his face and said nothing. I asked him If they were not a dealer, what were they. He gave me an even more stupid look.

I told him if I went down the road to the place that sold Fords, I could get parts there. Further down the road was a place that sold Kubota tractors and I could get parts there.

I guess I have to back to school to learn what a dealer is.

Ah you just experienced the difference between a dealer and a box store and didn't even realize it did you?

This is why I buy from my local dealers and not the box stores.

There's nothing like talking to a 23yo kid that thinks he knows the product! I especially love it when a 'saleperson' at the local Best Buy wants to advise me on a computer purchase. LOL!! I've been in that business for over 20 years...
