I've had my Deere 4110 for 14 years now and it has always served well. But it's getting a few too many hours on it now (1620) and I'm looking to get into something with a little more hp and a lot less hours. I though I had a 3032R lined up had a quote for mine and was ready to finalize the deal when the dealership told me it had sold 3 days prior. Not sure why he didn't know that but regardless. I started looking at the specs on the 2 series 2032R & 2038R and noticed that the weight of them is almost 1000 lbs heavier than my 4110 not to mention that almost 300 lbs more lifting with the loader. Since my 4110 has served so when is there a compelling reason to go for the 3032R or 3039R instead of a 2032R or 2038R? I'm staying away from he 30??E series due to the fact that I need a mid mount mower.

Get a B2610 with cab. It's 25.5 hp and does not have DEF.

Really don't like the ergonomics of the treadle peddle on the Kabotas

If all is going well, 1620 hours is not many hours. Keep what you got.
Deere Dude,
Granted the tractor is still running ok I find that on many things I run out of power. Even mowing grass that is just a bit thick it bogs down and seems to labor. Also the additional lift capacity of the 220R loader over the 200CX is a big boost for me.

If mid-mount mower is required, 2038R. Get the radial tire R3 option for a comfy ride. After market cab setup as needed seasonally.

3Rs will be more everything (power, FEL, etc.) but too heavy for mowing unless it's just perfectly dry conditions.

I had the same thought process last year.
I decided to keep my old 2720 and use it as a trim mower and buy a 3039R with a rear finish mower. The 3039 will do all the pto work that the old one did except in a cool/heated cab.

And there is a world of difference between an integrated cab from the factory and a bolt on cab.

Maybe you could keep the old and the new?

I have a 3720 with L-M-H gears. I would cut a vast majority of the time in Mid range comfortably. L is to low and H seems to high. I would be concerned if either of those mentioned by the OP are only 2 speed.

Looking at the specs I’d say the equivalent of what you own now is closer to a 2025r or maybe even a 1025r. A 2032r or 2028r are a step up in size and power for what you own now. They are identical except the 2038r has a turbo for more power.

The advantage of a 2025r is no DPF emissions equipment and lower cost. Otherwise a 2032r or 2038r is a lot more tractor.

I agree.

Not sure why you "need a mid mount mower" but to each his own. Even if you needed to fix or replace the deck, it would be cheaper than a new tractor.
