Does anyone have a link for a service manual for a JD 5500? I used to be about to find one free to view with a simple google search. Cannot see to find one now.

Or can anyone tell me how to adjust the clutch? is it just a pedal adjustment? Seems it is occasionally slipping now when letting off the pedal under load. (I know I overheated heated the clutch trying to get my other tractor out of a bad spot, so I know it took some wear)

Clutch adjustment depends on which transmission you have.
Collar shift and TSS (same procedure to adjust) OR Reverser different procedure to adjust).

It's the 9 speed synchronized. No reverser. I'm guessing I just shorten the linkage?

Does anyone know how to adjust a clutch in a5500 john deere I think there is a little plate to take of and there is a screw which way to go so hopefully the clutch doesn't slip
