Did my 50 hour fixemup...whatta mess!

I finally got around to doing the 50 hour dirty deed. I had always been under the impression I could change the tranny suction screen without losing all the fluid...NOT. You can change the filter and give up 5-10 quarts but not the screen. I was woefully prepared for the 47 quart onslaught! It comes out slow but keeps on coming! Quick get more containers!

Many interesting filings in screen as I understand is normal. Much fun pouring the 47 quarts back into the system.

Engine oil was a snap..now running full synthetic.

Greased every grease fitting I saw! Must be 20 or so easy..kept finding more.

Clutch and brake freeplay checked, AF OK, screen cleaned.

Found front axle to be down about a gallon...topped off.

Added some inj pump lube..cetane booster.

READY TO GET MY FIX IN 2006!

Make sure you go over your loader and backhoe bolts if equipped.
Also blow out the fins and the screen on the radiator.
Check lug nuts and air pressure in tires.

When filling the hytrans, crack the hose connection to the left of the fill tube and it will fill quickly. Otherwise it is glug, glug, glug....
