Anyone have a tractor with a paint job other than the color from the factory. Post Pics if you do. I am wondering what it would cost for a paint job. I was thinking of a different color. Maybe they should have a reality TV show, Trick my Tractor!

American Airlines purchased a large fleet of Kubotas, which they use for baggage tugs, and repainted them to match their other ground equipment, dark blue I think(?) Also, some public works departments that mow near roadsides, repaint their tractors to a hi-visibility color for safety reasons. I have seen John Deeres painted "Kubota Orange" in Calif., for that reason?

I think you would reduce the resale value; unless there is a valid reason to
change it? The cost would be determined on the quality of job for removng the decals, repairing dents, multiple colors, and etc. Or, you could go to Walmart and get a case of color of your choice, and do it yourself?

I noticed here in mid-state PA, the highway maintenance fleet was just replaced with new, yellow, New Hollands. Every time I pass one, I look twice. Just doesn't look right.

Good morning all. You have the option to paint your tractor any color you want as long as its not green, too hard to find in the dark. Kubota orange is an icon in the industry. Just can not justify seeing one any other color on a fine piece of equiptment. denlo in missouri

My Bota's paint is faded and there are numerous "war" wounds, scratches, rust etc. I was debating if its worth painting and then I was thinking about those reality shows. I am hoping that when I return from work or vacation my wife had someone redue the paint, new tires, custom seats, cab, radio, flip down DVD/TV, implements, etc. I wish!

I have to stick with my fellow Missourian on this one!!!! To deliberately paint a Kubota something different than orange just for the sake of change would be sinful!!!! :D

That just reminded me. The wife was watching Deal or No Deal a few weeks back and they had a girl who liked tractors. In order to entice her to take the deal, they bought out a Massey painted PINK! AAAAHHHHH. What were they thinking? Not that I would refuse a free tractor, even if it were pink. I would only drive it at night though.:D

My wife drives our tractors all the time and even she wouldn't want to be seen on a pink tractor!!!! Hahahahahaha!!!

change in value would probably be minor, unless it was a radical color change(someone mentioned pink). Where you might see the change in value is 50 years down the road for some collector; look at the old JD, Farmall, Allis, Ford tractor collectors. They go to great detail to get everything back to exact colors.

It is pretty common to see old tractors painted different colors for municipalities etc. My Farmall A was yellow at one time; probably used for mowing by a school district or something.

Could you imagine if cars were like tractors? All the Chevies painted that orange they used to use on the engines, Fords all blue etc. Pretty boring when you think of it that way...
