I have a 2022 dk42 that keep leaking for the o-rings on the joystick valve (where the hydraulic hoses for the loader connects). The first time it happened my dealer told me to just replace the o-rings (I did'nt want to make him come all the way to my house for a 0.25$ o-ring). It has been 2 months since I changed all the o-rings on it. Now they are all cracked and dry, I guess I did not use the right O-ring for it which is surprising because I bought them at a hydraulic shop.
Anyways have any of you ever and a leak from there and what is the "right" type of o-ring to use? Could I have caused the leak overtightening the fitting in the first place?
It seems that both times that it started to leak I was connecting/disconnecting a hose on the rear remote.

*I know some of you will say to just call the dealer and make him come to fix the issue even if I live pretty far from the dealer. I understand that it is covered under warranty but no, I will not make them drive 4 hours for an o-ring. Thank you for not telling me to call the dealer

Something ain't right with those fittings and o-rings. The o-rings shouldn't be squishing out like that.

Would you mind pulling one of the fittings out and take a couple pictures of the port on the valve and the fitting? So we can get a better idea on which type of fittings we're dealing with here.

When you remove the fittings from the valve body remove the O-ring and then reinstall the fitting. How close is the O-ring chamfer - counterbore to the edge of the hex?

These are not a standard size seal but hydraulic shop should have known that to large of seal will not fit into the chamfer and cause them to extrude like that.

No special seal material should be required

Viton is common but it looks like you may have the wrong size. When installed properly you should not see the o-ring hardly at all.

Yeah I also thought that it looked weird but this is how it came brand new and I used the first o-rings as a size reference. I know this is dealer installed, could the dealer have used the wrong o-rings and then cracked because it was too exposed to the elements? Do any of you have a dk42 so we could see what is the difference?

Here's a video of the leak the first time it happened :

I do not see adequate chamfer on the ports for typical O-ring boss style port. Curious if possibly BSPP or metric that require metal seal ring like ptsg posted.
Can you measure the thread diameter and threads per inch on the fittings?

Thank you for the pictures. Looks like indeed a good place for a copper washer or a dowty washer. I edited my first post as I thought for sure it would be the O-ring boss fittings after Oldnslo mentioned it.

Get the parts manual from the dealer or at least the relevant pages
Have dealer send you the seals as noted in parts manual
Definitely does not look like a spot for O-rings based on pics as noted previously
Parts manual should answer your questions
For what it is worth I know on my backhoe I don’t have seals where hoses attach to valve body. I just use Teflon tape and screw together. Torn it down to replace internal o-rings seems like 100 times.
Not had problems with loader
Good luck
