DK45 a bear to get in and out of FWD

I have had my DK45 a little over a year now, and it is always a bear to get in and out of FWD. I have looked and looked for a lube spot that I might have missed. I have tried taking the tractor out of gear, rolling forward, backward, rocking forward and backward, making sure the front wheels are not in a bind, etc.

Usually I have to stand on the lever to get it in FWD. It takes all my strength with both hands to get it out of FWD and sometimes I don't think it is going to come out. I have even broken part of the handle trying to get it out.

Am I missing something? Any suggestions? Haven't talked to the dealer yet. Kept thinking it just needed a little more break-in time. But the tractor has 200 hrs on it now and it has been in and out of FWD a lot lately.

When you find the answer, please let me know.
My little CK has the same issue.
Matter of fact, it's in the garage in FWD right now. I tried to get it out twice and finally decided to try again tomorrow.

My CK30HST FWD engagement was quite stiff at first. It's working easier now....the more I switch in and out of FWD.

If FWD doesn't engage the first try. Nudging the HST pedal usually lines it up for me.

Something I used to do on my Kubota was raise the front wheels off the ground with the loader. Made it a lot easier.

No, Don, I haven't tried with the front wheels off the ground, but I will. Hope it helps. However, there are times that I don't have the loader on the tractor.
