Do I need to wash my tractor after changing the loader control valve?

I just installed a new, and different loader control valve. I had to disconnect every hose from the control valve to the loader, oil everywhere. Man, what a mess.

Well, it will be "rust resistant" in the area that are soaked with oil....

I would get some foaming engine degreaser and spray that, then hose it off or pressure wash with medium pressure.

You may have a leak (gasp!) and can find it easier if the area is clean and dry.

Wipe it down real good unless you are @nal about how clean your tractor is. Think of it as extra rust proofing..

I believe that keeping a tractor clean is as important as changing the oil and all other maintence. I have always put a lot of hours on equipment but I have always kept them well maintained and clean including waxing them. I have always got top dollar on trade in.

Tractors are just like cars and trucks ... sure, you don't want them to be fogging oil, but if you want a good trade-in, it better look good! That's not something you can do with one wash job before putting the for sale sign on, but needs to be done on a regular basis. If dirt and oil is allowed to collect and hold moisture, you'll have stains, rust, all that nasty stuff that kills the "curb appeal".
KILLS THE VALUE! (and you can't just touch it up and fix it, after it's gone so long - a sharp eye will pick right up on it)

There are work tractors and there are show tractors, I think you get the idea !

I'm with wiping the runny stuff off. One thing it does do is remove the moss/mildew/mold or whatever it is that's on the paint. Looks shiny now, like I waxed it, in places

i wash and wax all of my equipment keeps it clean and easier to work on when it is clean 20 mins to pressure wash my tractor when i am done with doing something makes it ready for the next day and i have had a lot of oil on it from hoses breaking
