Just wondering if anyone has an inexpensive easy way to remove accumulated snow after using the tractor blower etc. my uit is in a heated garage and when it snows enough every day to use the unit(s) it melts amd makes a small lake LOL.
I've tried a windshield scraper which is somewhat OK but is time consuming and leaves a lot behind.
Also tried compressed air which works somewhat well but again is a bit time consuming.
They flat air nozzles but I'm not sure if they would work that well LINKY Another version of a nozzle LINKY 2 .

So i thought I'd ask here TIA and 🍻

I have used a broom and commercial leaf blower in the past with good results. The blower gets practically everything off, even packed snow.

If you don't have a floor-drain in your garage, it isn't that difficult to make a drain-pit.

In my first garage, I buried a 12" x 48" tile in sand and covered it with a drain cap. Melting snow from 2 cars and a snowblower was never a problem.

Floor drains have been outlawed in many states due to what the drain might actually drain into the surrounding soil.

How it is here in Michigan at least unless that drain is plumbed directly into a approved stormwater outlet.

I park my tractors in an unheated barn so any snow that accumulates on the blower or snow blade stays on it and I don't worry about it at all.

Similar here. I had installed a drain in the preparation of pouring my concrete floor in the shop. The inspector told me an oil separator was required with a drain in a garage floor so I just cut off the top and eliminated the drain before pouring the concrete for the floor.

Most places prohibit drains now unless there is an oil separator. I have drains in my garage but it's 50 years old. I helped a guy pour a garage slab one time and he formed in a french drain but then skimmed it with 1/2" of concrete. After inspection, he broke it out. Where there's a will there's a way.
