I found a used Woods LR72 (6ft) landscape rake that is in good condition. Tines are a little rusty, but the rest of rake is in great condition . The guy is asking $300.

I think the price is good, but I'm a bit concerned that it may be to heavy for my Kubota Bx25. Does anyone have any experience with rakes? Can a BX 25 handle this size rake?

Does price sound right?

Price is good...would be even better if it has gauge wheels...(they cost about $300 alone)
You should have no problem with a 6' rake...my Woods LR 60 is the lightest and easiest to hook up of all my implements....

I believe 60" is recommeded, but doesnt mean the 72" wouldnt work. It would just stop the BX in its tracks faster when loaded up with whatever.

The problem I had was it wouldn't lift it very high. Slight mod to the lower lift points and this problem went away. No issues with the front being light even with the gauge wheels.

Three hundred dollars is a good price. If you find the six foot width is to much, get out the hacksaw or saw all and shorten it to five foot. Six inches or more off each end enough to get the holes to be equal and not have any jagged open bolt holes where you sawed through one.

I so think your biggest problem will be lift height. That's why I got a Woods estate series for my BX.

Load your bucket up with material for extra weight and traction if you ever need it. Shouldn't be a problem at all. That bx25 is a powerful machine.
