If you never been adopted and/or served by any of the LGD breeds, you can not fathom the depth of their commitment to protect their flock. Nice, gentle dogs until it is time, then mostly use minimum force required. Very rarely do they make mistakes with level of their response.

I have mutts, Great Pyrenees/Karakachan and Great Pyrenees/Anatolian. I think I'll let my oldest part Karakahan breed my part Anatolian, should get some really nice pups out of that pair.

This is my sweetheart watching me through the windows of a building I was in and waiting for me to come out. I'll peek out and she never takes her eyes off the door till I come out. She's a 37 lb full grown field Springer Spaniel. What a dog.


Here she is in her favorite chair and just has to be in the same room we're in.


Watching out the window in search of the elusive rabbit she cannot seem to catch. Always close but no cigar.
