Had to put my red heeler down today. Something went wrong in her spine and at ~16 years old there was nothing they could do. I took her to 2 vets and a chiropractor, all with the same diagnosis. Lost control of her back legs and was in excruciating pain the last 2 days. Born as a stray, went on the 3 strikes rule at the pound, out to a rescue, then to me in 2008 for her forever home. Loved that dog.

Rest assured... the powers that be have a special place for dogs put aside as they wait for us to join them. She is beautiful.

She is a beautiful dog and I can see how much she loves you in that picture. Very sorry to hear you lost her.

Totally agreed with your view. I know one of my friends was having the same at his house but he has to sell due to the overburden of TX Payday loans.

Spicy will be 3 months old next week. She is full of energy and very difficult to photograph. I have to anticipate her stopping for a second, and hoping it's a decent pose. I got really lucky with this photo!!!

Our yellow lab Sammy....unfortunately we had to say good-bye last year. He was 2 months shy of 16 yrs old and had a great life. Missed everyday.
