Is that really what you think it's worth? I hope not. Or my hideous E14d might just die with me.

A nice E14D with no attachments and about 700 hours just sold on ebay (was a reserve listing, relisted, then sold locally) for $3500. At least that's what the seller told me.

I don't think the seller is telling the truth. You can't hardly get that out of much newer, bigger Hinomotos. I kept an E14D with 600 hrs on my lot for almost 3 years. I finally let someone have it for $1250. It's not just the E14, it's any of the blue Hinos. They're just too old.

Yeah, I think he was lying too. But there were 16 bids going up to $2180 by the end (reserve not met), so he may have gotten close.

They are old for sure, but since I can't afford a Yan-Mar it serves me well. I'd like to find a decent parts supplier (for those front wheel bearings) that wouldn't charge such high $$$. I worry all the time about the first problem that arises.

Hinomotoman if you come across another cheap E14d let me know as I may be interested in having another for parts.

When you're on an internet auction, you have unlimited geographical coverage. There are people out there that will pay more for things but not in my limited neighborhood.

FWIW, Last year I bought an E14D with a Hinomoto rototiller that had 592 hours on it.

I live in Alaska about a hundred miles north of Anchorage and bought the tractor from a guy in Healy. There is way less to choose from here, and what you get for your money is usually beat up pretty hard and the price is ALWAYS higher than down in the lower 48.

I paid $3300.00 and was happy to get almost anything useful for that price.

The front tires were rotten and I had to put another $150. into them.

I use it to haul logs around my yard and to my bandsaw mill.

I hung a BIG ex-USN main fire valve off of an old YO on the front as a front weight.

4WD would be much better, but up here even used, it would double the asking price, and I was on a strict budget.

If I lived outside and I wanted a E14D, I'd be sure to buy two of them because parts ARE a problem.

But I figure I can use it for a few years then sell it for almost as much as I paid for it when I trade up to 50-60 horse something.

just my .02
