i was wondering on the e2004 and simular if you knew about how much front weight you realy needed on front i have a 6' finish mower 652# and a 500# tiller and have been running about 160# on front + front bumper weight

i can't find any info on how much this tractor generaly needs it seems like 160# the front axles are pretty dug in. Does this tractor need alot of front end weight. alot of people suggest 1/2 the implement weight but since the engine is pretty forward and is a pretty stretched tractor

also do you know how much the front nose weight weights?

I just filled the front tires on mine and it gave me plenty of weight.

You probably have more than enough as long as the front end doesn't feel too light when transporting the implement in the raised position. I only use about 80 - 120 with my 5' mower.

your's looks about the same size as mine i have 20pto hp and weights 2200# i have fluid in tires so it's suppose to have 40/60 split i'm not sure how much static load i have so i'm guessing. It seems like the front end is locked in the dirt but i also have problems power hoping with my 5' box grader blade so i've kept it weighted down but jd says i need to take weights off front and add 6-8 # of air.

thanks for info..

how much fluid did it take i still have about 12 gal from filling my back tires and thought about filling the front but was afraid to. Also i seen a agco the other day with the front tires mounted out will that load the bearings or tear anything up doing this?

i wanted to do this to help stabalize the tractor as some parts i mow are in the 12-13 degree slope range just to help stabalize it too..

Widening the front doesn't help much since the front axle pivots in the middle. By the time you get to the point where the front axle is against a pivot stop, its too late - you're probably going over. Any the extra stability you might gain by widening the front is minimized. Do as recommended - add weight to the rear - preferably wheel weights as this doesn't load the axles. I'm in the process of making a 3pt weight for counterbalance. Its not as good as fluid or wheel weights, but I use this tractor to mow our lawn, and I don't want the extra weight while mowing - only when I put the loader on.
