Ok, this ought to be an easy question for you veteran members out there.
I performed my 50 hr service on my 3830 just before I hit 50 hours. Well now I have rolled over that 50 hour mark and my "service" light has come on. My question is: How do I get that light to go off? I am sure it is in the manual but I am at work now and don't have the manual with me. Your responses are greatly appreciated!

Going off memory here from a test drive at the dealer, but I believe this is the correct way. Turn the ignition to the on (not start) position and wait till the hours are displayed. Then press the travel speed and display mode buttons simultaneously and hold for about three seconds. The light should go out.

Press the display mode switch until the hour meter is showing then hold down both buttons for two seconds or more and it should clear. Hope this helps.

Thanks Pete and Lewis! I will try that as soon as I get on the tractor when that 5 o'clock whistle blows!

I'm approaching that 50 hour mark on my L3830. Did you run into any snags performing the service you wouldn't mind pointing out to another newbie?

The only trouble I had was when I changed my fuel filter (not required, but it was only a $3.50 part). I did not know that I had to bleed the fuel line (very simple) after installing it. Other than that, the 50 hour service was a breeze (but those filters are costly)!

The one thing I remember about my uncle's 50 hr service on his 3130HST was that a steel hydraulic line was exerting enough sideways pressure on one of the hydraulic filters to prevent it from starting on to the threads properly until someone else flexed the line enough to allow adequate clearance. Probably something that is unique to his particular unit, but you might look for such a situation just in case.

Well, holding down the display mode and travel speed buttons at the same time for approximately 3 seconds definately did the trick! My service light is off now. Thanks for the correct answer!
