Removed the broken cradle, it holds both the engine and transmission. The triangular part goes in the frame.

I pressure washed and blew off the hardware, still need to wire wheel or grind some of the bolts.

You're getting closer...Working in the middle of the forest I bet is fun.

Is this consuming all your time or are you still cutting down some wood?

I felled one tree this year, cut a hiking trail half way to the creek, cleared four fallen trees out of the driveway, Hauled some wood debris off the NF road easement, hauled two loads of rounds to our store owner friends, and did some area thinning (adding that to the burn pile). Otherwise I have been working on the loader, things will go faster when it is done.

Well all is not lost, so that is good.

When does the cabin building start? Start a thread about it.

Maybe two more days and the engine will be ready to go back in.

Used a tripod and chain hoist to lift the engine and work on the bottom.

He says it’s ready to go in.

We kept the original governor.

We have the one green part in the middle (blower drive gear) because the red one had an oil filler integrated into it. There was no room for it, plus it would be under the cab.

I taped off anything that was open after he left. Also cleaned up the mess, he left quite a mess. Emery Cloth and greasy shop towels mostly, and scraped off gaskets.
