Has anyone ever done an electric rad fan on s650g? Tired of replacing plastic parts from the 70s... What operation temps should I have this fan run at.?

Just make sure your alternator can handle the load ;)

I would set the turn on temperature a bit over the thermostat temperature, then full speed 10-20°s above that.

Do you know what the amperage output is of the alternator on satoh s650g? I want to say around 35 amps but could be wrong. I just know at this point I'm low on options, I just had a fan break apart and take out my new rad, so had a recore done for 880$.....

I put a mini one-wire alt in mine, and I think it was around 35A too.

If you check the voltage at the battery while the fan is running, it should stay around 13.5-14.5v. Ideally the voltage would stay the same with the fan on and off. Then you know the alternator is providing enough for it.

Ouch......

All I can say is this fan has fatigue cracks all over... And I couldn't see them until it ripped apart...

This was the ultimate cause though I think... My tractor / blower has no pins so it just killed the tractor.....

alt on mine is 35 a. --- the new fans are low draw so you wont have any trouble runnin it if you dont have any other stuff hooked up. lights/etc.
