That's why I always use PVC in the drains. Just don't pour hot grease down a PVC drain.

Keep the duct tape dry and out of the sun, it's good for 10 years minimum. :laughing:

I, too, have copper drain pipes and they do rot out. I had a shower drain trap leak that I could just barely reach with one hand. I cleaned it up and coated it with two part epoxy putty. That was 8 years ago and still no leak. I'd know if it leaked, as it is over my kitchen ceiling.
