Engine parts availability for Kubota M4030SU

A friend of mine has a problem with getting engine parts or a replacement engine for a Kubota M4030SU. Apparently there are no longer parts for that engine to be purchased through Kubota, nor a replacement engine. I believe it is a 1993 model tractor and is in excellent condition and he loves it(except for engine - oil plug fell out with obvious results - crank scarred, etc.). Seems to be two engines used in that tractor, one has parts availability, other doesn't. Both are 148.7 Cu inch engines. He may have located a "short block" replacement. Anyone encounter this problem, or similar? How long are replacement parts normally available for a Kubota tractor engine? Thanks for any information anyone can provide.

I have a M4030SU I have not had to order any parts yet can you tell me which engine he has mine has the 5 cyclinder . Also what type of part is he needing it may be possible that a machine shop can make it for him. I have access to a shop with some cnc machines can you post a phote of this part?
