European Hinomoto is Tym !

Good morning,

As in US, where RK and Mahindra are currently selling the tractors made in Corea by Tong Yang Moolsan (TYM), we have, now, the same situation in Europe.

Tym begins to sell its tractors under the brand Hinomoto which stopped its production in 1992.

Unfortunately, only models HM395 and HM255 are available and only with gear transmission (no HST) and central ROPS.

In the same time , we hope that Tym will put very soon on the market its models T475 and T 575 (EEC equivalent of T474 and T574).

For sure, with such a commercial, strategy, TYM will overtake KUBOTA very soon : very good quality tractors and by far cheaper.
Could you imagine that the only new compacts tractors Kubota has introduced this year here are two Indian (Escorts Ltd made) low cost tractors :

Yes it is. They have sold quite a few here in Portugal. That first link is the Portuguese importer of this brand, Sotrac.

Another brand that already overtook Kubota up to 60HP, is Kioti. They have been selling like cupcakes, specially after Kioti increased the warranty up to 5 years early this year, instead of 2 like every other brand. Kubota then tried to compete with that measure by offering a 3 year extension for an extra fee of course.

I've tried many times to contact Sotrac. By mail in english, by mail in portuguese, by phone from France, through a portuguese friend in Portugal....I got no answer.
I am wondering if their company is still in the business.
I wanted to know when they will have for sell the Hinomoto HM475 but....no way.
Do you know if they are still in charge of the Hinomoto brand in Portugal ?

I know they are still in business. In fact, they are the Portuguese importer for the new Hinomoto tractors. They used to import Kubota, Iseki, Mitusibishi, Shibaura and a few other brands, but I'm not sure if that's still valid.

If you look at the bottom of the page on the Hinomoto link you provided on the first post, the email is from Sotrac.

No sure why they won't answer to you. If you are on Facebook, search for Sotrac Portugal (profile) and Hinomoto (Page). Maybe you can contact them that way or let me know what you're looking for and I try to send them a message through Facebook. They have delivered quite a few Hinomoto tractors. The biggest one was a 455.

Thank you for your answer. Those emails are exactly the ones that I used to contact them, with no success. One day, a portuguese friend manage to speak on the phone with a gentleman from their company. He promised to call him back very soon. He did'nt. And now, he does'nt answer to his phone calls.

Hopefully, Tym Europe will put on the market soon the tractor Tym T475 which I am interested in.It is the same that US T474 but without extendable links. The third function ready joystick and distributor are here. So I will give up with SOTRAC and wait a couple of months for Tym.
