I wouldn't say the stock price is "going back up" yet. It's off 35% YTD. It is off its low of 222 but it's also down from 288 March 25 to 264 today. I don't believe they are going bankrupt any time soon.

Fact is, Elon is very wealthy, and didn't plan to own a car company forever. He is driven by principle.

Hey don't let me get in the way of the propaganda party going on in here. Keep your nose in the weeds instead of seeing the big picture. You left out that 336k was way below the 408k that was expected, and the worse quarter for Tesla in over two years. Overseas, the numbers were even worse with sales down 65%. It is what it is, not what you hope it is. Sure there is a momentary surge of emotionally fired up right-wing used Tesla buyers. Soon that will run out. Bottom line your purchase of a used Model Y, did not give the company the help it needed. Whats left of Trump's base is not going to go out and buy 400,000 new Teslas next quarter.

That is true. He could care less what happens to Tesla. He will unload it.

He is wise enough to know his base was left. He is wise enough to know that they will become violent with anyone they don't agree with. He knows it will hurt Teslas bottom line, but he never cared. He does what he himself thinks is principled. If it costs him billions, he doesn't care, he never has.

He said Tesla is a technology company, not a car company.

The left thinks they can sway him with their hatred. That is a pretty foolish idea, because he has never proven to be swayed in that way. They all left X... And he doesn't care.

The left is full of haters, butt hurt over their theft from Americans exposed and cut. I would expect no less from the lost and angry half of America.
Note that the market is down, all my investments have taken a hit except for my presidential vote. That one is paying dividends.
The market will go back up. And Tesla stock will go with it...to some extent. The only losers are the ones who sell on emotions.
We have already established that Elon Musk would rather save the country than the car company. God bless him.

Quite the opposite. I hope to God all of you are right and this strategy works. Last thing I want is the economy to tank, a tariff war to drive inflation to the moon and foreign nations to call our 36 trillion in debt due. I am ten years from retirement, so the last thing I want is **** to go south. So I am rooting for you. I am highly skeptical, but rooting for you.
