Will both machines come out of 4wd ?

Both are basically same HP I think.

I think I’ve got one of my ZD1511 sold & wanting a 4wd for steep banks.

I don’t necessarily like the front deck running on the ground because I have rough farm Ground.

Regens are no issue as I mow 3-6hrs at a time 2 & 3 times a week.

I love my two ZD1511 72 with fluid filled rear tires but needing a 4wd in places.

I thought you just said you loved your ZD-1511??? But seriously, I know what you mean. The front mowers can take uneven ground up to a point, then you have to slow down.

My 3680 is part time 4WD (you woudn’t know it was on) or locked in 4WD and you know it’s on.

What about putting bar tires on one of your 1511’s? That was a game changer for traction for me

I do love both my ZD1511 but need a 4wd in places.

These zero do pretty well with fluid filled rears for traction & front weights to keep front end on the ground.

I’m wondering if any dealers has a leftover F3990 for cheap ….

Try Bar tires. A set is like $300.
Might be all ya need

I don’t think they’re available in 26x12-16

I think a 4wd & my ZD1511 would be a perfect combo for my application.

I had them on my ZD-331.
Maybe your 1511 takes a different tire?

An F series for cheap, especially a F3990. Good luck

Yeah, that’s true.
5 years ago a 3990 was $29,950.
I bet the new equivalent is $35,000

I meant cheap as in a couple thousand off on a new leftover F3990.

I can buy a new F3710 for $29k

I just need to find out the difference between the two models ?

Wheels & Dash are different colors by pix.

Specs looks identical on both machines.

$29,950 in 2019 is equivalent of $36,354.43 in today's dollars.

Either way it's still lot money for a mower, but someone hast to buy them new so guys like me can buy used mower years later & repair as needed...

Just a homeowner with few acres to mow, you know what I mean.

I hadn’t been on a F series to know the controls.

Are both models mentioned a hydraulic lift deck ?

I would think so as the ZD12 15 & 1611 are.

This is a MUST for my application crossing ditches & gravel driveways here on my 30 acres.

Like Arto, I did my homework and bought a used but well maintained one that the local fair board had. I cannot afford one new and if I could, I would not anyway as they are just too 'over the top' expensive for me. My dealer sold it to them, maintained it and sold them a new one and I got the used but not abused one for pretty 'cheap' actually. Getting time to mow.... drat.

You are dreaming... Is all I can say and I've never seen a left over one, ever.
As expensive as these mower are & very few homeowners need this caliber of a mower : I’m betting a dealer somewhere is sitting on one.

I agree with you tho on new prices being out of control.

How many hours did your mower have when you bought it ?

I won’t buy a mower or tractor with high hours.

You cant hardly tear one up abusing it for 100-150hrs imo.

I’ve mowed 3 different weeks so far : around 20hrs just spot mowing the thick areas here & there.

Don’t know about the newest versions, but my 3680 has hydraulic deck lift. For the price they charge for them, they should crap gold coins.

Why? If it’s priced accordingly and well cared for. Why not? Of course I’d prefer low hours, but well cared for high hours is better than abused low hours.

Damn right you can. Heck, just skipping the first 50 hour oil change can tear things up in the motor.
You can put a cowboy on any piece of equipment for 100 hours and ruin it.

If you have THAT much grass, I’m thinkin you might want to grab a round baler and start baling it. lol

I bought my "old" Kubota F2000 well used, it has a few thousand hours on it, built in 1986 or 87. It was in decent shape when I bought it and I didn't have to pay very much for it, I think it was around $2500 for a running working mower with a 72" deck and 4wd. It has all the needed features, hydraulic lift for the deck, 4wd, front deck for easy visibility, maneuverability.
I could go out right now throw the booster pak on her and start it up.

The worst part about the Kubota “F” mowers is changing the height of the mower deck.

Bottom line: It sucks compared to a zero turn.
